Married 49 years on May 17th. We have three beautiful daughters that are married and have given us 6 grandchildren 10 to 22 years old. We have both retired and lived in Novato, CA for 38 years. Shortly after we retired, we built our dream home in the mountains. We have built a log home in Pioneer, CA just off highway 88 east of Jackson. Our house is located at 3500ft and we have had two beautiful winters and have even been snowed in twice. We have a house trailer and have made several trips and look forward to make many more. Two of our daughters are in the Bay Area, one daughter lives in Ohio, and we have enjoyed several Christmas Holidays and Thanksgivings in the East. We live on a golf course but do not play. Instead; I have a small fishing boat and enjoy the many lakes in the area.

The July after we graduated from High School, I entered the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. I finished college at Dominican University with a lifetime teaching credential. From 1960 to 1979, I taught school and was a principal of an inner city school in San Francisco. Since 1979, I have been doing Social Service ministry at St. Dominic’s Church in San Francisco. I provide service for people in need. Our parishioners are supportive and so along with all the other services we provide, two years ago we opened a drop-in Center for the homeless. We have laundry and shower facilities. We provide a safe place for a few hours four days a week with good food, computers, books and TV. My ministry brings me many blessings and keeps me very busy.

Bill and I are retired, have five children and nine grandchildren with whom we spend quality time visiting and babysitting. We live within a two hour drive of all of them. Beyond the family, Bill and I are blessed to be part of the graduation class that now, fifty years later, still shares love, laughter and wonderful memories. Vallejo, St. Vincent’s and our religious teachers and priests all helped us define how we see ourselves and how we chose to make our mark on the world. We learned to dream, what we became, who we are and where we can always return.

Hi Classmates,
This is Sally Whitesides Cushing. Since the last class reunion, my husband Len, our fellow classmate, passed away in June of 2003. Four months later, I sold my home in Napa and moved to a lovely, gated senior community in Oroville, just minutes from the lake. I met a very nice man, Bill, who lives nearby. He is 57, and has a small boat that we go fishing on when the weather allows. We really enjoy each other’s company. My living daughter, Lisa, and her family still live near Boston. My granddaughter, Ariel, is in her second year of college, and her brother, Adrian, is a senior in high school. Lorre’s daughter Melissa, is married and lives in Maine. She had my first great granddaughter, Lily, 2 years ago and is expecting my first grandson in May. If anyone wants to email me, my address is ‘gal-sam@msn.com.

After languishing at Vallejo JC for a semester, spent 3 years at Mare Island as an Apprentice Machinist, then on to the Calif. Maritime Academy where I managed to get a BS Degree in Marine Engineering and a Federal License as Engineering Officer on any US Merchant Ship. Worked for three different Steamship Companies traversing the Oceans/Seas to both sides of the US, both sides of South America, Europe, the Mediterranean (including North Africa/Egypt/Turkey), Northern Europe, Asia and India. Quite an education!
On one trip, staying ahead of Hurricane Hilda in 1964 between France and New Orleans, I met my future wife Pat, now of 42 years, at a hurricane party in a suburb of New Orleans. After our marriage in 1965 in New Orleans, I went to work for Westinghouse Electric as a Power Generation Field Service Engineer out of Philadelphia, PA, then into the design Department there. Then on to Los Angeles, San Francisco and finally to the Marine Division in Sunnyvale, CA. After 35 years, 30 of which in various Management Positions.
After retirement, we moved from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz County (Aptos) where we could see the Ocean.
I retired in 2000. But have essentially been semi-retired, working part time as a consultant resolving after-market design anomalies/problems on apparatus that I became conversant with over the years, one of which required a trip to a Naval Air Station in Spain, a tail-hook landing on the Aircraft Carrier Enterprise in the Atlantic and a home bound Catapult exit to the island of Sicily.
We like to travel as time and funds permit. We usually spend a couple of weeks in Hawaii each year (have a tine share there), have cruised from the East coast to the West via the Panama Canal, toured the inner reaches of Turkey, toured the major Countries on the Baltic (including Russia), multiple trips to the UK for business & pleasure (visiting many relatives and friends). Trips to Louisiana and Florida are also on the agenda to visit relatives and play golf.
Pending, are trips to Alaska, the Denali/Mt. McKinley National Park, to Cairo, Egypt, Museums, the Nile River to the Valley of the Kings, Karnack, Aswan, etc. or a Mediterranean Cruise to Spain, Italy, Greece, the Greek Islands, Rhodes, etc. From there, who knows, Australia, New Zealand, around Cape Horn to Antarctica. "Life is good".

Ed and I were married at St. Vincent’s on October 15, 1961. We have three daughters: Jaime lives in Chandler, AZ; Faith lives in Issaquah, WA; Amanda lives in Seattle, WA. We also have a grandson, Jacob, age 12, and a granddaughter, Mia Sistine, who will be 4 in August.
Ed’s career took us to different parts of the country. We lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho for a couple of years and then in Pennsylvania at Three Mile Island for six years. We have resided here in Richland for 32 years. Richland is in Southeastern Washington. It is desert country and is becoming a major wine producing area.
Ed retired in 2000 and I retired in 2003 from the Hanford Project. Since then, we have traveled to Florida and Arizona, and sailed to Alaska three times, the Panama Canal and just recently returned from a 15 day cruise to the Hawaiian Islands. We get to California at least once a year to visit family and friends. Our next cruise will be to Mexico with our two eldest daughters.
November 2008 update: This is a busy time for Ed and me. We recently bought a home in Arizona and are preparing to move there permanently in a couple of weeks. You can imagine what a chore this is after living in this house for 33 years. Every nook and cranny is filled with "stuff". The thrift store people smile broadly when they see us drive up. I told Ed if I lived my life over I'd move every ten years. Our eldest daughter will be living about ten miles from our new home. The hardest part about moving is leaving behind our grandchildren. But its only a two and a half hour flight from Phoenix to Seattle. The new home is in Queen Creek, which is about 40 miles SE of Phoenix. If you're familiar with the area, it bumps up to Chandler and Gilbert. We will miss the Pacific Northwest and our wonderful little desert community with the Columbia River in our back yard, but are looking forward to new adventures and sights in Arizona. My e-mail address will remain the same for the time being and my cell phone is 509-554-6120. Please keep in touch. I would love hearing from any of you and if you're in Arizona, please visit. The welcome mat is in place.

Well, let’s see what to tell you. Russ and I celebrated our 30th anniversary, we have four children between us. Joe, Jim, Michelle and Angie. We have seven grandchildren that we try to spend as much time as possible. Russ and I have been retried from a regular job for about 10 years or longer. Now that this project is almost finished, we are looking forward to more time to relax and travel. We do spend a fair amount of time in Palm Springs; Russ loves to golf and me, I just love to shop.
Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion, along with all the other classmates that I have not seen in about 40-45 years. Wow! How time flies when you’re having fun. I live in Richmond. I work for the same company, Hero Arts Rubber Stamps, Inc., in Emeryville, CA. I have been there for 18 years. My job in human resources, payroll &customer service keeps me very busy. I enjoy working with all the people at the plant.
My family has grown. I have five grandchildren who are so special to me. My oldest granddaughter, Brooke Lewellyn, is a sophomore at St Patrick / St Vincent’s. It is wonderful to have her at my old alumni. In two more years, her brother, Erik, will be going there too.
I am active in my church. I have always been in the choir, but now I lector and I am a Eucharistic Minister. Being a Minister of the Sick has been very rewarding. I hope to continue with that ministry for a few more years.
My Mother is 94 years young and still likes to go to the grocery store with me on Sundays. She plays bingo and plays cards (wins all the time). It is important to exercise everyday and walk. So glad she is still with us. Mom is a treasure. My brother, Bill Koppel, and his wife and family are living in Vallejo. In addition, my sister, Mary Lynch, and Mike and family live in Vallejo. My four children live in Richmond, Vallejo and Placerville. It is so nice to be able to see them and their families.
I will always have fond memories of the days at St. Vincent’s grammar & high school. I have some wonderful friendships from school that have lasted all these years. They are more like family to me. It is hard to believe it has been fifty years since graduation in 1957. Looking forward to seeing my classmates at the 50th Reunion.

Also, I am overwhelmed at your and Pattie’s willingness to “take care” of me for the affair. I would like to arrive on Saturday morning and return Sunday afternoon, June 10.
Thank you for all your work in bringing this reunion into reality.
With great love, Sr. Constance

50 Years? Can you believe---50 Years! Here I am, Ethel O'Neal Stahlecker and I guess that 50 Years is true because on September 1, 2007 my husband and I will be celebrating our 50 Year Golden Wedding Anniversary. We meant, as many of you know, when I was in my senior year at St. Vincent's and Ron was in college. After I graduated we married in Vallejo at St. Basils. We moved to Napa 50 years ago on our wedding day and set up housekeeping. Our 1st child Matthew was born and 15 months later his brother Mark was born. The boys Godparents were Ed and Sharron (McQuady) Budd (sv '57). Our sons were 7 & 8 years old when our daughter Amy joined our family unit. Her Godparents were my brother Michael O'Neal and Patricia (Curtin) Hampel (sv'57) I was a stay at home Mom when the children were little. Ron had is own electronics business and I helped out from time to time. I then entered the public school district in Napa and became every good at a math program that I was later hired by the Napa School District to implement at a school in grades 2nd thru 6th. After 10 years with the district I left and helped full time in the electronics business. Our children were very active in 4-H, music, & camp. Ron and I became 4-H Leaders. When we had been married 17 years Ron and I made a Marriage Encounter Weekend, after the weekend we decided to become a Marriage Encounter presenting team. Thirty-two years later we are still an active M.E. presenting team. Both Ron & I had been world leaders for Sons & Daughters Encounter. A program that was written by Father Gaberial Calvo, the same priest who wrote Marriage Encounter. We have traveled extensively presenting both these programs to adults and teens. Twenty nine years ago we bought a large very run down home in Napa. Worked and worked on it (both inside and out) and opened it up into a Bed & Breakfast 25 years ago. It is like sitting still and traveling the world because of all the people we have met. We, as of this writing, have it for-sale. My health as not been what it could be (however I'm doing well now). Both Ron and I are ready to retire and do the traveling we both have enjoyed in the past. We have been blessed with our children and their spouses and our lovely grandchildren. Our son Matthew and his wife Carolyn have Otto (4½ years old). Our son Mark and his ex-wife have two sons Nicholas (20 years), Brandon (17 years), and he and his girlfriend Alicia have a little boy, Cody Daniel (1 year). Both our sons and families live in Napa. Our daughter Amy and her husband Jeff have two daughters, Kaitlyn (14 years) and Kira Rae (11 years). Our daughter and family live in Orange County in Coto de Coza. My Mom will 95 years old on the 23rd of June and my Dad has passed. My "little" brother and his family live in Vacaville. I guess, in looking back, with all the memories, it has indeed been "50 Years".
The good news is, we've been told, "the best is yet to come"

Hi everyone! My husband Dan and I are now living in Las Vegas. We left our family behind in Southern Cal which was without a doubt difficult to do. We have two boys and three girls, four of which are married and with children of their own, giving us nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. We are now preparing for a wedding for our youngest daughter Diana, who will be getting married next month. With the last one out the door it was time for a change, and we are only four hours away. It certainly is a lot different here than it was in Laguna Beach, and I must say a lot more exciting! Teresa (Flegge) and I are still doing our "Girl's Vacation" once or twice a year with our favorite location forever being Hawaii. I hope all is well with everyone, I can't wait to see you all again!

Not sure if this will help. You might add, I live in Melbourne, Florida, near Cape Kennedy, and am active in various clubs: Spanish Club, French Club, Russian Club, Scribbler's (writer's club), and the Brevard Symphony. I still sing professionally, do some architectural design, and am currently taking French and Arabic at the local college. In my free time I am a soloist with the Hebrew Choir (singing in Hebrew), preparing to publish a book and exhibit my paintings. Life is full and I am blessed with many, wonderful friends and family.
I have a son and daughter, Jonathan and Julia. Julia works as a computer engineer at NASA and enjoys national, competitive skating. She is a fine singer. Jonathan worked at Texas Tech, Purdue, and Florida Atlantic University as Director of Housing. He too, is an extremely accomplished musician, plus an active and dedicated, Life Teen leader/ music director at St. Joan of Arc's Catholic Church, in Boca Rotan, Florida.

Can’t believe it’s been 50 years already.
It’s been almost 6 years since I retired from Chevron with 21 years of service. Since then I’ve been able to do a lot of traveling a lot of that with Pat (Silveira) Stegall. We’ve spend a lot of time on the Islands and in Vegas where she and Dan are now living.
I am now caring for my 90 year old mother who is in the 5th stage of Alzheimer Disease. I am also in the process of selling my home and moving mother and me to Palm City, Florida to be close to my sister and family to help with her care and where she will be close to most of the family. Now, I’m well aware of all the weather problems but in weighing between earthquakes and hurricanes I figure at least I will know when the hurricane is coming.
I’m not real sure that I’m going to be able to make the reunion because I just don’t know where I will be. I’m going to do all I can to get there. In case I don’t make it will miss seeing you all and hope you all have a wonderful time and hope to catch up with everyone on the 55th
